Same here noticed in the wee hours that something was recording , 6:30 a.m. Eastenders still recording 700 plus minutes, (this was the case with both HD boxes), also same issue aseveryone else live pause not available BBC ITV, Ch4&5 did a reboot and a planner rebuild on box can record now but still no live pause on above channels, also Eastenders still appears stuck at 'Cannot add to planner' looks like a hooky update to me

It's now the 18th September and I still.cant pause channels 1-5.

It's frustrating, annoying and inconvenient- especially if someone comes to the door or my dogs bark and I miss something!

Can't pause or rewind SKY Q

Recently 'you cannot pause or rewind this programme' is showing when I try to pause live TV. Any channel. I've turned it off and on again, at the plug, for 2 minutes etc, but still have the same problem. I am disabled and the TV is my lifeline. Please help. Thankyou.

I've stumbled across this thread as having the same problem at the moment. Reading one comment, I switched to sky News and my pause was working there.

 

What I find annoying, having tried all of the suggestions here including the reset through the engineers menu, is that there is no notice from Sky that this is happening so I can sit tight and wait for it to be resolved.

 

My issue is that I was almost about to do a hard drive reset which would've permanently wiped all of my recordings which would've been extremely annoying.

Live Pause is not available on Live TV on any channel. Have tried resetting box but still doesn't work.

Wouldn't have anything to do with the new plus premium paid for services would it??? 

are we being forced to pay for the service again for what we pay sky Q for?

I agree - other companies swiftly and easily put out an email to customers notifying them that they're aware of the issue and are looking into resolving it and will update us when it's resolved. Never from sky though!  I too was debating doing a hard reset - glad I looked here first!

Almost the same as on 16th.  204 would pause on 16th, not 18th, so know it's  affecting 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 203, 204, 205.  Whatever they did to fix it on 16th, please ask them to repeat it.  Thanks.

Unable to pause / rewind live programs but OK with recorded ones

Have had this issue a couple of times some time ago and resolved by power off/on. Today had same issue, power on / off and will be OK just for a few minuets and after that banner comes up to tell me unable to pause or rewind this program yet everything else appears to work.

Have tried 4 times and same result any ideas?

@Geoffo99 this problem is affecting both Sky Q and Sky+. I've added your,post to an existing thread on the subject. As you can see from the post marked as Answer, it has been reported to Sky.
