Hi all, so I called sky like most of you have done they have tried and I am the same nothing is working and they have told me to contact Paramount which I have emailed but had no reply .. it's almost for me like the Q box cannot connect to it .. is there anyone from Sky on here who can shed any light on this .. it's very unfair we subscribe to a service which cannot work ?? 

I have seen a comment on updating to the marketplace.. does this work can anyone advise on how do do this ?? I'll try anything

I wouldn't bother contacting Paramount+ if I were you. I was asked to contact them, which I did and all they do is go through the same  troubleshooting steps that you have gone through with Sky and they ask you to contact Sky, so we are being fobbed off

I totally agree I don't think they actually know what the issue is at all so they just tell u it's a paramount issue when it's clearly a sky one .. so annoying I think it's a sky box thing and it's unable to download correctly. I jist wish it would be fixed or they can give me the movies for £5pm !!

@Candykidd I agree, no one seems to know what's going on. Why are they even still advertising this sky movies / paramount deal if it doesn't work??

 

We ended up calling sky again on Saturday as paramount still wasn't working, to cancel the subscription for both. 

Spoke to a lovely fella who said he didn't blame us for cancelling. He said he had paid for the same deal a month ago, and also couldn't get it to work! 

He also said they've had loads of phone calls from people having the same problem.  (Which is probably all us lot here!!  ) 

 

So frustrated and mad they seem to be clueless as to what's going on. 

Think we will just try to get paramount on it's own now.  

 

Really hope one of you here has some better luck. But sadly I'm doubtful.  I think that particular 'deal' isn't to be 😞

I've also had the same issue for 10 days. I've spoken to two advisors. One has said that the developers know about it but there's no ETA for a fix. Wouldn't offer a price reduction because "Paramount Plus is free" with Sky Movies. Second advisor is trying to get Open Reach to fix a broadband issue, but Sky's own internal booking system crashes when he tries book an engineer. He says he'll look at the Paramount problem when that's done, so I guess he didn't get the memo yet.

 

I'll let it play out, but I'll cancel Movies if it's not resolved. There isn't enough interesting content on its own.

 

The second advisor did send me a new 2TB Sky Q box at zero cost, though, so not all bad. 🤣

I'm having the same issue as everyone else with the mysky_2008 error and aive spent hours on the phone trying to get it resolved. Seems like the only option is to start to name and shame via public media to see if it gets traction.

Hi guys,

 

Don't know if the error has been fixed generally, but I checked this morning before leaving the house just to see if it would work (been doing it periodically to keep an eye out) and this morning no errors at all and it's finally let me add Paramount+! 

 

Everyone please check and see if your error has gone too. Would be nice to know that it has been properly fixed for everyone.

Do you have to wait a certain amount of time for yours to work?

Make sure you raise the fault with Sky support initially, after that my access was sorted within 2 weeks. Nothing you can do other than chase Sky support to action in the backend systems.
