Paramount+ error code 2008

I have upgraded to cinema which includes paramount+ however when I try and go through the 'Get Paramount+' I keep getting the error message saying 

We'll be back soon

MYSKY_2008

 

Help! I want ti watch what I paid for!

We are having the exact same problem too. 

My partner upgraded to sky cinema as we wanted to watch paramount + and seemed a good deal.

But has spent the last hour getting incredibly frustrated as everything that's tried, ends up with the same result. 

The blue screen with the messages saying we will be back soon, MYSKY_2008  

That's our evening ruined now 😔 as getting too late to try for another hour. Hope something works out for us all soon 🙏🏻

Getting exactly the same message after upgrading to sky cinema, is this another of the issues that needs the back office team/ tech support solving at their end? Sort of like people are having with missing apps, though thankfully the last chat with tech support here solved that particular issue. Anyway, hopefully the supermods get back to us.

Update : partner was on the phone to sky for well over an hour today. 

Really lovely lady from the tech team. She tried everything she could think of,  but alas paramount+ is still not working. 

Getting exactly the same screen with the error code as yesterday. 

 

Was told that sometimes the apps can take time to switch over, so to give it 24 hours and try to launch paramount+ again. 

So that will be Sunday afternoon , 24 hours since the phone call. (Longer since signing up to the sky cinema and paramount package. )

If by tomorrow still nothing, call again.

Very frustrating when you can't watch what you are paying for 😔

Still hoping for a better result tomorrow.

Exact same issue for me, I upgraded last night. Incredibly frustrating when you can't watch what you're paying for!

Just called the help line and I was sent a link by text that didn't work saying I was to early to sign in!!!!!

then was told give it 4 hours but I don't hold out much hope of it working

Getting that error as well and sure Ultra HD is now not working, saying I need to upgrade even though had it for around a few weeks. I do wonder what the issue is with the sky upgrade process or the sky q boxes, something is broken with them... seems not to be able to handle simple changes, keep track of what sky package you have or activate changes like adding Paramount plus once you subscribe to Cinema. Hopefully someone has had some luck.

Spoke to 3 different people today and in the end I was told it's a paramount problem and I should contact then. Well that's not my job as it's the app on sky q which is not working .

so in the end I cancelled cinema

It's not a Paramount problem, I'm having the same issue with Discovery+ so has to be an issue at Sky's end

Well we tried waiting the 4 hours and got the message saying its too soon .

So have waited 48 hours though was told to wait 24 hours,kept trying it in between,  but to no avail.

Couldn't face another call yesterday. Still no paramount +.

 

Will have to call again today. This is extremely frustrating when we just want to watch what we are paying for. 

Not seeming to get any answers as to why either  

 

I hope someone here gets some help, we've not all got time to be sat on the phone all day 😞

Called tech support, so there is currently an issue with paramount plus, been going on for a couple of months and nothing can be done, it would be helpful if an official post could be made, result in less help calls and posts.. As regards any issues with it asking for an upgrade, even if you have the package, this is a signal problem between sky back office system and the viewing card/ box. The helpful tech guy was able to send the signals and the issue resolved during the call! Hope this info helps those in this chat and others.

exact same thing with me very frustrating as there's loads i wanna watch on the app.  i'm not guna bother ringing after reading all these comments!! sky needs to sort it out we are paying for it!

So after 2 phone calls totalling over 3 hours. Still nowhere. They have no idea why mine is not working. The tech person has escalated my issue to higher because no-one has any idea why it wouldn't be working. 

 

I am expecting a phone call back I'm the next 72 hours so will keep this thread updated
