I am also having the same issue. Phoned sky with no joy emailed Paramount and still no joy. Sky not even interested.

Had same issue as everyone else with Disc+, this method only adds the free account you've created to your sky box it doesn't link any free upgrade you're entitled to with your Sky subscription.
This is obviously a big ongoing issue Sky have that hasn't been addressed as this post goes back months and its still there.

Same problem here, called Sky directly, spent the best part of an hour on the phone, and he kept telling me they have no record of this error message. And yet, I get it everytime I try and upgrade.
He eventually suggested I contact Paramount directly and ask them to resolve.... It's a shame as it seems like a purchase error, so there is definitely something wrong on the Sky side, just not sure how many more people need to tell them there's a problem before they accept there is one!

It's incredible that this issue has been going for 2 years to date. I've just tried to upgrade my paramount plus account and got this same message. I've been with sky for 25 years now and this is making me want to cancel my subscription. Shame.

I had the same error and managed to fix it...
Go to the mysky app on your mobile (I'm on Android) make sure its fully updated.
On the home screen scroll down till you see the marketplace box then in there click change payment method, enter your card details and make sure its all saved. Exit the app.
Now on your SKY tv try updating to the pack you want all your details should be pre saved thanks to the mobile app only requiring the cvv.
This method worked for me on SKY stream and got around the 2306 error

Does work for me sadly, there is no marketplace box in the app for me to click on.
At the bottom the only thing I can see is the Help and Support section. Been through it a few times now, am I missing something obvious?

Oh oops its in Bill's and Payments which is toward the bottom of the home screen on the mobile app

If that is a fix then the issue could be down to Sky only having direct debit payment details for customers and by adding a card as payment option then third parties trying to charge could access that card and therefore likes of discovery+ can succesfully take payment through that method 🤷♂️
