Can you record on vhs on SKY Q with a LG VHS Recorder?
Hi i have a LG vhs recorder hooked up to my HDMI tv with 2 converters SCART TO AV and AV to HDMI
was wondering how it could work?

@TheWindowMan Copying recordings is technically a breach of copyright therefore forum rules prohibit any such discussion
the purpose of recordings via sky hardware is for time shifting purposes only ie watch later and delete not keep indefinitely

It can't: a main Q box has no analogue AV output. HDMI data is encrypted by HDCP specifically to block HD output to recording devices.
It's possible to take (low quality) analogue output from a Sky Q Mini box using a particular adapter and such use is effectively tolerated by the rights owners: it will become obsolete when Q goes out of use.

@TheWindowMan it should be noted that whilst the mini boxes have this analogue output some, if not many, programmes are protected by Macrovision style copy protection
