Has anyone else that has this problem paying a Paramount add on sub for this and had payments fail. we pay £3 sub for no ads and I was going to cancel this but couldn't because it said we owed Sky £12  and are finding there is no way to pay, we hadnt noticed this hadnt come out of the bank each month and Sky hadnt notified us.   Done some searching on Sky and found others that have had this payment problem. Spent ages on phone with Sky last night and no way of paying it seems, going to ring them again today but for us it does seem it may be the cause of the Paramount problem for us and there was a thread in August which seemed to be similar to our case. so it may help someone if they also have similar.  It does seem that there are a lot of failed payments happening for these add ons so may be worth a check anyway if people are paying these subs.

I also have a problem paying  for the upgrade tp Premium.  My bank requires the CVV number when Sky Marketplace makes the monthly payment request but I can't find a way to add those details.

I want to pay but can't.

It seems that we too have a problem with the added £3 subscription which failed when I got a new credit card. On the phone to sky today again for the umpteenth time. She disconnected sky cinema and then reinstalled it but then I discovered that Paramount still wasn't working and she had added an extra 6 months into my contract. To say I was annoyed is an understatement. I called back asking for this to be resolved ASAP. They offered me an engineer tomorrow at the earliest but I was not prepared to wait for something that wasn't the issue. After some more being passed around I was still no further forward.  Hence to say I have told sky where to go and have cancelled my contract and they have assured me I won't be charged for stopping mid contract. Watch this space. 🤯🤯

Paramount+ unable to link account

We have had paramount plus ( with sky cinema) for c 3 years. We now pay to go ad free at £3 a month.  This weekend 17 January we lost access to paramount plus. After 45 minutes of sky chat which did not help, I went to bills and payments and app subscriptions and found the payment card for market place apps had expired. £3 was shown on screen as outstanding. It said to phone sky and pay. When I tried this, it said no amount was outstanding, when I phoned sky and spoke to a person, I was on the phone for an hour and 20 minutes and to be blunt, the three people I went to,  they had no clue and could not help me. Their solutions ranged from refreshing apps, no. To removing sky cinema, no. To creating a duplicate sky id. No.  
the billing cycle renews 21st January so I suggested we wait till then. Today 21 Jan I phoned sky who said there was no issue and my paramount plus account /service was live. Still no access. It says I have a paramount plus through sky cine,a, and to li k my account, if I log in it says I have no active plan. When it tries to connect - via the get paramount plus option or sign in option, it cannot and says uh oh an error has occurred, we are working on it,  the subscriptions page now  say 'renewal in progress,  any help appreciated as the sky contacts haven't been able to resolve. I have also spoken to paramount plus who say it is a sky issue, all this started when my payment card expired, I was given no notice or warning on this and sky do not seem to be able to see that as an issue! Yours, frustratedly.,  Chris .  I will check again tomorrow but am  not confident it will move!

There are a few of us across the forums that have the same problem with Paramount, I also have failed payments for no ads subscription, not sure if this is related as I don't know if everyone whose Paramount isn't working has had trouble with payments. Mine has been not working since Sunday at least and I did get Sky to cancel the £3 sub so the debt doesn't mount up and I'm not paying for something I can't access.

Hey we have EXACTLY the same issue and also been on the phone with no help given. My subscriptions say renewal in progress 21 January and the sky person in accounts says everything up to date. Will try again tomorrow. Frustrating that such a major issue seems to be going unresolved?

This may be similar to this Sky Q problem.

 

I regularly use Paramount+, at least four to five days a week, using the Sky Cinema free with ads offer on my Sky Stream boxes.

 

End of last week, the Paramount+ app on my Sky Stream pucks, refused to log me into the P+ app.

Just got the 'Uh Oh' message and also once a T&Cs type screen once that I could not acknowledge with the option accept button,  it then on next attempts just bought up again the  'Uh Oh' messaged also.

 

A settings restart on the puck made no difference.

So I then did an apps refresh and broadband router/hub restart late evening and left it overnight before before trying.

The next morning, the app refresh and/or router/hub restart had done something, as it logged in fine with no issues and has been fine since.

 

Not sure if it's the same issue, but the timeframe is similar for when it started having the issue for me and has solved it for me since.

Still having same issue. I upgraded to the ad free option and discovered that the £3 is no longer leaving my bank account. ( perhaps this is the problem )

I have actually tried subscribing direct with paramount and have not been able to do it. Don't know now if the problem is with sky or paramount

I'm in, I had downgraded to the free one because of the missed payments and not wanting to build more debt as seems no way to pay £12 I owe.  This morning I got a text from Sky to activate my account which was the new free with ads one, which I did on my iPad, I just signed in from the link and it sent me to download the Paramount app.  I ignored that and went to the Sky TV app and it just worked.

yep same issue here! how did you downgrade? Have looked in my products and my sky.   I'm stuck in the you don't have a subscription with paramount cycle message and can't sign in to paramount as it doesn't recognise it etc. Thanks!

just to add- I've been into my products- selected free with ads, clicked on yes i want to downgrade- it then says sorry theres been a technical problem and boots me backl to the menu /home screen

I can't believe this isn't being looked at as a major incident surely there's a lot of people affected?!

I called sky and after trying to sort it I was told that I have an old sky q box which is not compatible with paramount plus anymore so they are sending me a new one

@Chris2026  Sky had to downgrade me on a call, I couldnt do it online as it said it had this debt of £12 from failed payments which I'm finding impossible to pay, I want to pay but Sky dont seem to know how.  I got put through to Marketplace on one of the calls and downgraded then.  My Paamount is working now after going through the text link they sent me
