Sky a with 90% signal and quality but pixelates contacted sky customer service who says system overloaded any ideas what this implies and how to clear or was this a cop out

Disruption to the image of a live channel is either dish/cable or HDMI related.
If the same thing happens on playback of something on-demand then it's probably HDMI.

The strength/quality metrics come from one specific test channel. It could be that the channel you are getting the issues with is on a completely different freqeuency more affected by alignment or obstruction.
"overloaded" is frankly embrassing blather from the sky support rep who needs training or firing.
