@Lynmag  Have you tried unplugging your box then plugging it back in?  Are there any error messages?

Sky Q

According to Sky the issue has been resolved however I am still having to constantly reboot both the main and mini boxes despite it showing that connection is ticked. Why is Sky not admitting that the problem hasn't been fixed for all customers and why is compensation not being offered

"Connection" being ticked is an internet thing, not a TV signal thing. What is your box actually having problems with, because it doesn't sound the same as the posts above.

Re: Sky Q

My problem is that we are watching recordings and the signal just stops. Only way to get it back is to turn off tv, sky Q box and start from scratch. Have rebooted s

skyQ box several times, especially after the message from Sky, but this is not good enough.

please pass it on if you can.

Re: Outage

Re: Sky Q

I'm also having similar issues with my Sky Q box. At least once a day, it goes into standby and only rebooting it fixes the problem.

This is despite Sky saying the issue from last week has been resolved

I can't think of a way that a hack could affect your satellite connection. The sky box does need to talk to the internet to validate your subscription once in a while but that doesn't give that error if it fails.

Are you on a communal dish?

So you can get to web-based yahoo email (and this site or was that on a phone connection?) but not other websites?

Re: Outage

yes communual dish

it is possible some rogue engineer has removed my connection - the box link is on our 5th floor and is a mass of wires - I may try and reconnect - I found a coaxial lablled with my flats number - but could have been repurposed - surely engineers have ethics and don't just remove willy nilly.

No engineer until the bank holiday so I'll have a go at that just to see - the whole thing needs to be ripped out and done again - I remember 5 years ago I got the last coaxial connection.  L&Q the building manager won't be interested they never are so the whole thing is abandoned.

only message is on 'my sky' "sorry because of a technical issue youre experiencing a limited service - please be assured we are working hard to fix the problem"

@John+Scott+Latty

Your landlord or building management company may have strict rules in place about occupants fiddling with the set up. Report it to them in the first instance.
