Thought I'd posted this already but cannot find the post. Just had new sky Q boxes fitted and the engineer has left our two old sky+ HD boxes. Can I bin those or pass them to someone else or will sky ask for them back?

Unlike SKY Q you own the SKY + / HD boxes.
Once your account is switched to SKY Q then you can;t use the old boxes for SKY but they can be used by others as 'Freesat' watch only - they need a different LNB to SKY Q which will have been swapped for you.
You can take them to a local re-cycling centre or, I believe, it may be possible to send to SKY for recycling/disposal

However if you want to recycle them use this link to get a freepost label.
