Re: No saved Wi-Fi password
While I would recommend never using wifi with Q, the joy of entering the password can be enhanced by using "predictive text" style entry using the numeric keypad.

Re: No saved Wi-Fi password
I'm sorry but your reply doesn't address my question and in any case Wi-fi is essential for SKY Q as it controls all APPs and on demand services etc

Well I don't use it and I use those.
I assumed your original question was rhetorical.

Re: No saved Wi-Fi password
How is that possible unless you use an ethernet cable, if my Wi-fi disconnects or is swithed off (power out etc) and you press the home key on the remote you get a message telling you that you don't have an internet connection and you have to reset it to use most of the functions. When this happens my phone, tablet, computer and even my bathroom water heater and doorbell ALL reconnect automatically with a SAVED password but SKY Q....... NO you have to enter the password manually. And why would I bother with a "rhetorical" question ?

Re: No saved Wi-Fi password
Seen this mentioned a few times on here over the years.
Often, it's the Sky Q box sometimes losing the wifi overnight.
Have a look at the answered post in this thread, that mentions a reset in the Sky Q settings.
It may be worth a try.
Sky Stream with two pucks (former Sky Q and Sky+ customer).
Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Mobile unlimited data. Sky Protect smart tech kit tester.

How long are you allowing Sky Q to reconnect to your WiFi? It can sometimes take several minutes, but will usually do it without having to re-enter a password for me, so it must be remembering the password.

@stratos666 wrote:How is that possible unless you use an ethernet cable,
Well, exactly.
But personally ethernet would have been tricky to route in my situation so I use powerline adapters for the minis, to another adapter near the Q, which is connected to a switch that has the Q and a mesh node hanging off it. 3 Sky boxes can see each other and the mesh node acts as a bridge to the rest of the wifi network & internet
And why would I bother with a "rhetorical" question ?
Capital "WHY" and asking an unanswerable question as a method to point out how stupid something is and doesn't work like everything else is not a rhetorical question?
