No satellite signal

My sky TV gas lost connection for the 3rd time in the last 2 months.  With Christmas eve going off and automatically came back on on Christmas day evening.

It has went off again yesterday (1st January), and still no satellite signal.

An engineer was out before and installed a new box , but by the time he arrived the fault had fixed itself . Could you help as I'm paying for sky TV and not able to watch . My bills are 90 to 100 pounds and I've been a customer for over 10 years . Many thanks

If you are seeing a message of “no satellite signal” firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Otherwise it’s almost certainly a dish alignment issue so check the troubleshooting in this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish. If it doesn’t you’ll need to contact Sky to book an engineer appointment.

If you are connected to a communal dish you need to liaise directly with your building management company / landlord who will have their approved engineers to contact.

It’s worth remembering that a misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels.

Re: No satellite signal

I keep having problems with satellite signal and the engineer says it due to weather but I think they just say that so you can't get money back for the inconvenience I will be leaving sky Q if it keeps doing it. £100 a month for absolute rubbish signal I would be straight on the phone to them and recommend talking to someone English.

With the recent storms and high winds the engineer will be correct. If you're still seeing a no satellite signal message the advice in the reply to the OP applies to you too. If it is a misaligned dish it won't rectify itself.

Re: No satellite signal

It's just cold where I live no rain no wind blue skies and sunny and still have problems with certain channels.

Sounds like alignment then.
