Yesterday, we were watching out sky Q fine. It was a lovely day so we spent the afternoon in the garden (so no bad weather). When we settled down in the evening, the box intermittently started losing signal on some channels. The next day, more disappeared. It told us that we could watch recordings for the time being - which we did fine.
Today, a black box comes up and reports 'no satellite signal'. I rebooted, didn't help. I rang sky and followed their automated instructions, didn't help so they have booked in an engr. We thought, well ok, we can probably manage with recordings for a couple of days - but now when we select 'recordings', it states ' to use this service, you need a satelllite signal', even though it suggested this would be ok earlier.
Any ideas of how we can at least get the recordings back until the engr comes. My mum is elderly and housebound, so this is her only entertainment. Thanks, Sam

@Sam369 hi the issue you are getting is that if the box doesnt get a signal from the dishevery so often then the box just shuts down but theres nothing you can do really other than wait for the sky man/woman or just get by with freeview hope nthis helps 🙂 😄

If the dish is easy to reach out of a window try give it a wiggle to try and get signal back for a minute, hopefully that will be enough time as to the recordings start working again until the sky guy comes and realigns the dish.
