No longer fit for purpose

Constant dropping off of broadband even though all other wifi connected items throughout the house work perfectly with no issues.

Been going on for months once or twice a week having to reset Q and mini's, you can try all the hints and fixes on this forum but clearly plenty of people still getting nowhere.

Unfortunately a long haul till contract end, unless we can prove it's the product.

Hi we have the exact same issue - unplug and turn back on comes back for a couple of days and them goes again - same for mini boxes constant need to reset connection. . . .

Re: No longer fit for purpose

@Mark39 following the many threads on this issue not a lot but an engineers visit or a replacement box none of which seems to fully eradicate the problem.

I won't be calling them until I've caught up on my recordings just incase they change the box, but I'll not be letting a sky employee tamper with my modem and perfectly good working wifi in any case.

It's clearly  a SKYQ box issue one way or the other as absolutely nothing else has issues, so no doubt I need to call them in.

Unfortunately all the various "superusers" fixes fail to hold up.

Yes, you'll need to call. It could still be a wifi issue or possibly a faulty Q box.

Well, clearly not all the hints and fixes, because the hints and fixes I always mention are;

use powerlines

or use ethernet

or use wifi nesh nodes hard wired to the sky boxes

that saved my sanity.
