No UHD on mini box

There should be a downscale to HD on the mini box to save all the hassle of having to record 2 programs just so that I can watch UHD on the main box and HD on the mini box.  Surely Sky can get a workaround to this.  Anyone else have a workaround ?  Just recorded some F1 UHD and can't watch while I recuperate from an operation in my bed.

There isn't a workaround. UHD coverage/ recording is not available on mini boxes nor is that likely to change in the future.

Sorry @mwbruce  the only workaround is, as you have suggested, record both UHD & HD, if you want to be able to watch in UHD on the main box or mini box to catch up.

Taking UHD down to HD, particularly in anything like real time, without introducing unwanted image artifacts is a non-trivial computing task and way beyond the silicon found in Q (or any other 'set-top box') : even a reasonably powerful PC would have a significant render duration for that job.
