New to Sky Q

Hi

I currently have a Sky+ box and will be changing to Sky Q next Friday.  Do I have to have Disney+ linked to Sky Q as I already have it and have only just paid in full for the next year.  I just wondered if I did'nt activate it, it would'nt be linked and I would'nt be charged for it by Sky.  Also, I have been paying for HD and it looks like this payment will continue, does this mean I can still watch channels that are HD once I get my Sky Q box.  I have already agreed to have Netflix linked, do I have to tell them that I am doing this.

Thank you

hi @Cookiepops

Disney plus is totally independent - you can use your existing subscription on the SKY Q box if you wish.

The Disney plus app is just like on other platforms

When you first activate Netflix via your SKY box that should  automatically cause Netflix to suspend your old account .

hi @Cookiepops

Sorry missed replying about HD

Yes - if you conrinue to pay for HD (which is likely unless you cancelled it) you will get all the HD channels that you do now - it also means that Netflix will be in HD and can be used on 2 devices ( needs the UHD add on for 4)

Thank you for your reply, it was very helpful.

Could I ask one more question, will I be able to continue to watch Netflix on my tablet?

Yes although you pay now for Netflix via SKY you can watch on any device (up to the number of current devices based on whether you have SKY HD (2 devices) and UHD (4 Devices) )

You are not limited to watching via the app on SKY Q

I prefer to watch through my TV inbuilt app or Firesticks as that way I get Dolby Vision
