I have just got a new sky q box, which I have just set up. When I went to look for my previous recorded programmes, they are not there, can anyone help. When I signed up for the new box I was not told I would lose everything.

hi @Cazfred1
I am afraid they are stored on the physical box and thus remain on the old box & do not get transferred
If you have any you have purchased from SKY Store then you can download these to the new box.
Some may be available via Catch up/On demand to download

Re: New skyQ box, lost previous recordings
That's correct. Your previous recordings were stored on the hard drive in the faulty box. Only Sky Store purchases will be retrievable.

My previous box wasn't faulty, it was replaced. Should Sky not tell people they will lose programmes they have recorded.

I presume the agent would expect you to know recordings aren't transferable.

Cancel new sky Q box
A Sky representative rang me offering me a new sky q box plus the films at discount on 23/05/2025, I received it on the 27/05/2025 & set it up yesterday, not happy with it, do I have the right to cancel please?

Re: Cancel new sky Q box
What aren't you happy about with the new box? You won't get your previous box back with the aforementioned recordings on.

You can use the Sky Q NetFlix app by simply logging in with your credentials. You do not need to pay via Sky.
