New setup

Hi I've just got a new skyq mini box for my bedroom. I'm buying a new telly before setting it up, I only have the old aerial so would I plug that in first to set the telly up first then take that out and plug the mini box in to set that up via hdmi or do I just leave the coax arieal in..

You do not need to plug a freeview terrestrial aerial into your TV for a Sky Q mini to work.
Have a look at the link below in the Sky help article on how to setup your mini with the supplied hdmi cable.;

Hi @Cam+grinder

You can leave the Terrestrial Aerial in.

This will still you terrestrial Freeview channels if ever you need them .   This will have no effect on the Q box which will be on a HDMI input

@Cam+grinder  you can plug in the coax to the new telly and set up all your Freeview channels THEN set up the Sky Q mini via the HDMI cable.

Then you will have your Freeview channels as a backup in case you had issues with your mini in the future.
