I was just wondering if I would have to pay for a new Sky Q remote because mine isn't working properly.

After checking the basics, ie; fresh batteries, re-pairing etc if your Sky Q remote is definitely broken/faulty, if you follow this link it should allow you to do some more troubleshooting and then it’ll send you to a form to request a free replacement (apparently this is not available to customers in the ROI).

It may be quicker to purchase a new remote from a retailer or larger supermarket. If you do that as well as the above you’ll have a spare.

@Daniel0210 I've don't all that and went through ordered a new sky remote from sky directly but when I finished the site said they would contact me within 3 days with my order but never said if I would have to pay.

I want the older version remote of the sky q remote with the voice control button on the side of the remote,
when I rang sky to get a new remote they sent me the newer version but I want the older version
Am waiting on the 2nd remote coming soon. And if that's not the right one then I will have to look on eBay.
the lady did say to me that she personally went and told her manager what remote I wanted.
that's what that man told me and I got the newer version

These haven't been produced or been dispatched by Sky for many years (although mine is still going strong from 2019). As suggested you can probably purchase a second hand one on sites such as eBay.
