I Remember you saying that it was just the sky agent asked if I could disconnect any 3rd party boosters before restarting 

as long as it works fine where it's at may just leave it there

as long as wife gets multiroom box upstairs then she's happy with all the footy

You can connect a Q to an eero via ethernet though

Too far away unfortunately as different ends of each room. 
thinking about the mini Eero as boosters but price is of putting

Sounds like it is your tv cabinet restricting the signal.

See you mention glass doors. Glass can be a cause of interference or restricting the signal as glass doors or even having something like a Sky TV device sitting on a glass shelf.


Would suggest;
Either buy a new tv cabinet that is of an open design front and back.

Or remove the back of your current TV cabinet and also remove the doors at the front.
