Netflix on mobile devices

I recently added my Netflix account to my sky q account.

I can watch netflix using the Sky Q box. All good there.

However, it seems like my old netflix login has gone and i am not able to watch on my ipad / iphone.

How can i get this working again?

If you have Netflix on your Sky account and you have the correct package that allows you to use extra devices then you should be able to use your Sky login details to access Netflix on your mobile devices.

These are the packages:

Ultimate TV includes the Netflix Basic plan (1 screen + SD) as standard
You can upgrade to Netflix Standard (2 screens + HD) by adding the HD pack
You can upgrade to Netflix Premium (4 screens + UHD/HDR) by adding the Ultra HD pack (requires the HD pack first)

Hi @caesarome

@PaulP_007

The new bundles for Sky Q all include HD as standard to align with Netflix's own pricing.

ie
Assuming you subscribe through Sky
Sky Ultimate TV includes the Netflix Basic plan (1 screen + HD)
You can upgrade to Netflix Standard (2 screens + HD) by adding the HD pack On Sky Q.
You can upgrade to Netflix Premium (4 screens + UHD/HDR) by adding the Ultra HD pack (requires the HD pack first) on Sky Q.

@PaulP_007

You shouldn't have a new and old login.

On all devices (incl mobile) you should use the same login as you use for Sky.

Also be aware that simultaneous number of screens in use is dictated by your Sky Q package as shown above.

Re: Netflix on mobile devices

So if we've got the 'Netflix Basic plan', can we access Netflix on a mobile?

I don't need 2 screens simultaneously, I just need that the 1 screen I want to stream on is the mobile, is that possible?

Yes you can access Netflix on any device but are limited to one device at any time

I use my TV's own app (or a Firestick in my bedroom) rather than the SKY Q box

Re: Netflix on mobile devices

And do you know if I have to do anything else specific?

In my iphone 'Sky Go' app I cannot see anything specific regardin Netflix channels, and trying to log into Netflix (either on the phone or on a PC browser) they don't recognise my Sky email user/password.

Is there anything else one needs to do to find that Netflix content somewhere?

hi @Mickael you don't use SKY Go to access Netflix.

Netflix has it's own app that you should download (if not there already) and login into it using the same email & password credentials as used for Netflix on the SKY box

Re: Netflix on mobile devices

Thanks, I was trying to set things up after having the account active and working with the Sky Go app for now, while waiting for the Sky box coming next week.

I'll retry once I see it all working on the Sky box, in case there's something done during that setup process which has not been done yet, neither with the Account activation nor the Sky Go setup.

Ah, I think you do need to set it up initially via the SKY Q box - during which I think you will be asked to set up the account credentials (email & Password) - it is  separate to SKY Go

Re: Netflix on mobile devices

Just follow up. Indeed, thanks for that.

Got my Sky boxes today, had to set Netflix up and link them there first and after I could stream on the mobile app too.

Many thanks.

Re: Netflix on mobile devices

Hi there, I have Ultimate tv add on for Netflix. But also have HD & Ultra HD - yet my phone netflix is still SD. Shouldn't this be HD also?

Yes I think so (though it changed to soecific boosters for netflix recently but they should be honouring the older system for existing customers)

how do you know it's SD? I don't see anything on the content on my phone that specifies. I've got a video quality option of Standard and Higher (though I don't use higher on the phone as download size would grow)

Re: Netflix on mobile devices

If you goto; App Settings - Playback Specifications.

It will show Playback, Maximum playback resolution;SD
