On kids programs on Netflix there is an interactive feature where you can change the scinareo or ending.
We are getting a video message to say our device isn't new enough?
Our TV is a brand new 70" 2023 LG but the device is obviously our Sky Q box??(2019ish)
I unfortunately don't get the option to refresh my apps like the troubleshooting tells me to do.
(highlight settings, type 0,0,1 etc...)
what now?

I'd suggest using the Netflix app on the television set itself.

thanks for the reply but I don't want to and I shouldn't have too either. I pay for sky & the convenience?
We get our Netflix subscription through Sky also.

You pay for convenience, not necessarily quality with Sky.
Sky Q is now quite old and the apps on board the box have never been the best. Your LG TV for example may have Dolby Vision. Sky Q's apps cannot output Dolby Vision so you are missing out on the best picture quality possible.
You can use the apps on your TV itself, even if you pay Sky for them. You just need to log in using the same username/password.

Hi @SallyST
There should be no issue in an App refresh.
Refreshing the Apps in the Hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select. (Four consecutive presses)
Select Apps
then highlight Refresh all Apps on this box.
You'll see a message that says, 'Your apps are being refreshed'. This will stay on screen until you press Dismiss to return to normal viewing
It’s recommended waiting at least 5 minutes before doing so.
Refresh Apps can take up to 24 hrs to complete .

This is very interesting 🤯
I'll have a look into my TV and then I guess my sky package in September!
