Netflix and other streaming apps stuttering in UHD.

Sky box just cannot handle UHD programs on the streaming apps. Motion scenes stutter so bad. Turn on netflix on the smart TV app and it's seamless! Such a waste of money paying for UHD netflix through sky. Honestly so many little annoyances with sky I'm just about ready to cancel

Typically the processor in any halfway decent smart television is considerably more powerful than the now rather elderly Sky Q (and cost rather more too)

...or it could be because of the forced frame rate that Sky apps use.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

@TonyLo

You can pay for Netflix Premium via Sky but use the Netflix app on any other device. That's what I did when I had Q and then Stream. I only ever used the Netflix app on the Q Box/Puck to switch the billing to Sky then used the app either on my smart TV or one of my dedicated streaming devices.

The Netflix app on Sky Q is limited to only being able to output content at 50 or 60hz (with judder reduction turned on) so you will always get a bit of frame stutter on 24fps content. You also will not benefit from Dolby Vision HDR (if your TV supports it) because the Q box can only output HDR10 from its third party apps.

If you pay for Netflix Premium via Sky and want the best quality possible then you need to use the Netflix app on another device. Just log in to it with whatever username/email and password you used to set up your Netflix account.
