Netflix App won’t stream on Sky Q but ok on other devices

for the last 2 weeks I have been getting this message on the Netflix app on Sky Q. Before then it was working fine. I can get on the app on my phone and portable devices but Sky Q won't work. I chatted with someone at Sky who was trying to say for it to work I have to buy the no ad version of Netflix for it to work again. Netflix was a free app I received when I signed up to Sky as I work for the NHS so checked and the discount is still running for free Netflix advert standard with Sky Q for new subscribers. I have tried all the usual things like resetting my wi-fi box, taking the broadband off Sky Q and reputting it back on. I have also updated the Sky Q app and also the 0,0,1 hack and updated all the apps and so no luck it won't work. Why can  I get on the app through all my other devices but not on my Sky Q box. I do not want to pay for a non advert version as the free version is part of contract for another year or 2. Any help would be great.

Sounds like it thinks you're not in the UK. What ISP are you on?

 

byw I assume that screenshot is just an example of the same text that you are seeing in the Q box?

This points towards you running some kind of VPN on your network or your broadband ISP is offering you a blocked or non UK type WAN ip address.

 

If you do have a VPN, remove the Sky boxes from it.

For your WAN ip, remove the power from your broadband router for half an hour or a little more, this will normally reset the WAN ip address.
