If there's a problem with it then follow the troubleshooting here:

If your box still has an issue then you can click Need More Help at the end of the troubleshooting to reveal a phone number to contacy Sky and ask for a replacement box.

Was damaged in a flood to my flat and was thrown away by the insurers

Unfortunately that wasn't the best course of action by your insurance company as the box had only been loaned to you. You'll need to call Sky and explain what has happened. They will presumably need to liaise with your insurance company to confirm the damage was irreparable and arrange a replacement box.
