Need for retaining my sky dish.

I am runnung my sky Q box from my wi-fi hub , do I still need to keep my sky dish up or would it create any problems if I was to remove it off my house wall  and dispose of it ?

A Sky Q box won't work without the dish! It's a satellite TV system.

You aren't: all live content accessed on numbered EPG channels is arriving through the dish, as is a periodic subscription confirmation signal.

 

Q doesn't actually need to work this way, but the dishless version which was developed nearly a decade ago never had a UK release and was subsequently overtaken by the purchase of Sky Group by the Comcast Corporation: their online-only platform is Glass/Stream.
