it's a sky product that plugs into my sky plus hdbox

Yes, I suspect it's faulty if it had at least a power light and now has nothing.

I've escalated this to Sky in case they can get it replaced. Watch out for a blue chat bubble.

Thanks for escalating this, unfortunately @Stephen494 we no longer replace the wireless On Demand connectors. 

You could purchase one online on ebay or amazon though
