Sky viewing card error message

"Please ensure the correct viewing card is inserted with the chip facing up" keep getting this message.

I did this. And no effect.

Also turned on at main power and held down the Power button the device to force a software update - and it's still an issue, it had zero effect on the problem.

Issues with sky viewing card

Keep getting please ensure the correct viewing card is inserted with the chip facing up. When I take out and restart my sky box it's okay for about ten minutes then reappears

Still getting this issue with Sky Q TV.

Cuts out when on Sports channel - switch over to terrestial channel like BBC or ITV and TV picture works okay - switch back over to Sports channel and some of the time the picture works again - so intermittently keeps cutting out.

My viewing card is fully inserted and I've tried cleaning it and resetting my sky box yet I get 2 minutes of tv before it say it again. What am I paying for if I can't watch tv when I'm off work sick.

Viewing card

Mine keeps coming up with viewing card error and sky say there aware of it so sort it out then looks like we are getting another discount cos they can't do there job right

Hi @Abz001   Out of the hundreds of people posting about the issue, nobody has mentioned Recordings. So as long as you don't try to fix it, and leave it to Sky,  I doubt if there is a problem with recording. But who knows.
