Yes that was the 1st indication of an issue, channel just freezes, if oyu wait it sometimes comes back, or this message appears.

then for no reason, it crashes totally, cant change channel.

Removed card, cleaned it and re-inserted, but no better

Viewing card sign keeps popping up as if faulty   I have  new card  

and have noticed when in movies it's not what's stated on the guide showing 

what's going on  is  it problems at sky?

Ours is doing it since Saturday - and it's gotten really bad last night and today - cannot watch Live TV. 

I tried calling Sky but said they have a technical issue and can't answer calls at the moment.

Really bad - hope they put a discount for all affected users.

I am having the same issue. You cant watch TV for more than a few minutes and then you get the error. You switch to another channel, it works for a few minutes then fails. This has to be a country wide issue reviewing all of the messages on this board

@MightyQuinn It would probably save a lot of people a lot of wasted time if Sky's Home Page indicated there is a general fault they are aware of. Half the country is probably cleaning viewing cards and rebooting their Sky boxes again and again.

Has everyone tried a full shutdown ( discconect the power plug and wait for 30 seconds ), i have done this and so far it has been stable for 2hrs now with no card error messages, Also it could be that the q box needs updateing and thus will need a reboot.

Same problem here. Don't worry am sure Sky will give us all a credit for the inconvenience 😅

Hi @BazD6971   That would be too easy. Knowing how large companies work, it would probably take several weeks to change a website.

Ours is doing this now and has been since swtiching on this morning ive rebooted everything and the messages are re-appearing again . What on earth is going on ??

Keep losing my channels & or freezing !  Also. Msg saying my 'viewing card is inserted incorrectly'.       ( I don't use a viewing card).

Come on sky sort out as eldest is having a breakout thinking it's just our issue
