Sky Q box Crashing as of 6th Oct - Has another dodgy update happened?

There is/was no new update but some customers are experiencing viewing card error messages which Sky are working on.

My Sky Q box is also crashing this morning. I think Sky are aware there is an issue going by the other thread.

I had the message viewing card cannot be read, followed the instructions of removing and reinserting the card. Also tried a reset. The tv channel comes back on, then freezes and displays the same message "please ensure the correct viewing card in inserted with the chip facing up"

Hi, We have had our Sky Q box for atleast 6-7 years now. This morning our box was displaying an error message regarding our viewing card. It's been saying please ensure your sky viewing card is inserted properly, which it is. I have followed the online advice and help by resetting the Sky Q box, but it's still doing it and our TV is going off every few minutes because of it. Please can someone get in touch and help us with this becsuse we can't carry on with the TV doing this every 5 minutes Thanks Sophie

Every so often get a message saying card not working

Keep getting viewing card errors have tried all the suggested fixes still the same.

Chanels keep going of  took  out viewing card  and put it back in  still doing it had same problem before ended gettkng a new  q box

same problem this morning , just had new box , dish etc as my screen was pixelated recently ... NOW THIS carry on ! SKY'S ISSUE NOW

Channels keep going on and off whilst. 
message on screen says to insert correct card.

without doing anything channels come back on .
