My viewing card keep's dropping in and out and/or I see a message asking me to upgrade

I think i may need a new viewing card..the one i have is quite old.

I have run through all that is suggested online but that has'nt worked.

One minute a message come's up to say i need to insert the card properly.then it say's no card detected.

Obviously when it drop's out i have no tv..i need help asap please !!

Mines just started doing this as well it's runs for 10 mins then says car not inserted ...

Ours has started doing it too. 

Rebooted the box and it came back only for the message to reappear ten minutes later.

This seems a weird coincidence

 

Closest thing to an online chat at the moment is probably contacting them on twitter

Exactly the same problem. 
Cannot read viewing card  message has popped up 4 times in the last 45 minutes.

It just happened again. 
A blue screen with the viewing card message followed by a blank grey screen followed by a return to what I was watching, all within 60 seconds or so.

I didn't touch any buttons. I just sat and watched it to see what would happen and it sorted itself out.......until next time!

  • Yes I am also having this problem today. It may be related to the issue the from a few weeks ago where every recording was 14 hours.

Hi @Tjs64 SKY are aware of the error message, and are working on the problem.

Try Changing  the channel and then returning back may clear the message?

Issue with viewing card

For the last 48 hours we have been having issues with the viewing card. It keeps stopping and telling me its not connected, to this I remove and replace, now its saying it is no longer active.

I am having the same problem sky viewing card message. Sky checker is saying no problems but clearly there is.....

Thanks @Quoman7  Thats good to know.

It's just done it yet again and took longer this time, but did sort itself out after a couple of minutes.

Its more or less unusable like this so fingers crossed it gets sorted quickly.
