My sky mini box is in setup mode and my control won’t connect so I can set the box up. What do I do!

My tv is in setup mode on one of my sky mini boxes and the remote isn't connected to it so won't  let me setup box.

i have tried the 7&9 and 1&3 process but still will not connect

Hi @Richlouseb   Just 7 & 9 should work as that turns the remote into an IR remote which will work on all boxes. Make sure that you can see the box and there is nothing blocking the signal.

@Richlouseb Have you tried rebooting your Sky Mini Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

then

Try resetting your remote.
Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.

Thank you for the advice sky have now sent me a new control and box but in setup mode it says to push home button to finish setup but the control isn't linked to the box! So frustrating!!

Hi @Richlouseb .

On your mini remote press and hold 7 & 9 on the remote until it's led flashes four times.

This will set the remote to infrared mode which will work all boxes in line of site.

Reboot the mini again and then see if the remote will get past step 1.

Remember to point the remote at the mini .

If you can get the mini working then repair the remote by pressing 1 & 3 and following onscreen instructions.
