My sky Q box is very hot to touch on top. Not just warm. Surely this isn't normal. It makes our room so warm too.

Your box is designed to be warm but you should always be able to rest your hand on the top. If you can't, and the box is in a well ventilated position I would suggest disconnecting it straight away and calling Sky.
