Mode not supported

Sky Q mini working until I changed resolution on Samsung tv now mode not supported showing on screen and now sky not working and won't allow me to press home button

Hi @Kat51   Try changing the resolution to 1080i by keying in the sequence Home 1 0 8 0 Home. If the remote is not working then reset it by holding down 7 & 9 until you see 4 flashes. It will be in IR mode so make sure the box is not hidden from the remote.

I'm not sure I quite understand why you wouldn't just use the TV remote to change the resolution back?


Pressing Home, 1080, Home on the Sky remote will revert a Sky Q box to 1080p.

They didn't change the resolution on the TV, but on the sky box.

 

Not sure what res it's possible to set a mini to which a modern TV can't handle though.

Because screen black with mode not supported and not allowing sky screen on tv so unable to press Home Screen remote is working as allows  me to turn sky box on stand by

Thank you so much problem solved now I can cancel my engineer now lady on phone didn't have this advise 

any idea how I change colour on tv guide used to be blue background but now black ?
