Mini box not connecting after renewing my deal

Minibox not connecting  after renewing my deal says I havent got the required subscription (I have) . Done everything spent 2 hrs on the phone been moved from one department to the next running through the same rigmarole which I had already done myself . Also I  had to deal with one particularly rude lady in the process . Is sky worth the hassle . Anyone had this problem resolved?

Hi @Paul735 

Have you checked that your package still contains the Monthly Sky Multiscreen package.

You can check this in your Q box in the Home menu under My Sky

Yes checked on my sky app and emails I have  received also on skys system

Hi @Paul735 

  • First try rebooting the main Q box and then when this is completely back up and running reboot the mini.
    To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
    Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
    Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

    note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

    Reboot the mini as above.
    If the mini still does not connect reliably try a Network Reset on the mini.
    Network Reset found in mini Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
    Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to WPS with main Q box.
    You will be asked to press the WPS button on the main Q box (not the mini as the Network reset will start the mini WPS automatically).

    If you are on Sky Broadband and the Router is nearer to the mini than the main box then you can try pressing WPS on the router instead of the main Q box. If you do this make sure you press the Sky router WPS button and not the router reset button. If you have the new Sky Max router then you need to connect the WPS to the Main Q box.

Hi 

done all of the above and more several times . The only thing i havent done is decked the q box. Which is working perfectly . I suspect that  multiscreen needs re initialising at skys end .pretty fed up with it tbh.

Had the same issue with technical support team this week 

 

staff member could barely speak English so communication from the beginning was and issue . 🤷‍♂️

 

They had no interest 

 

Went through all the usual turn this on and off etc .. read all this stuff on the online help form so I wouldn't have contacted them if I hadn't carried out these basic instructions. 

 

after 20min put me on hold

 

call then magically disconnected


although he had all my contact info never had a call back 

 

zero accountability anywhere here .

 

genuinely the worst customer service yet again 

 

over the years if I've ever had any issue it's always amused me how Sky push it back on my WiFi ( which thankfully works very well)

 

Contract up in 3 weeks

 

I'll see if this connectivity issue I'm having with my mini boxes rights itself when Sky fix the software and if not I'm bailing this time .
TBF I haven't had any issues for 3/4 years after I hardwired all of my devices . 

it's like I feel Sky are doing me the favour for paying €€€ every month 😂  not anymore.. too many other options out there now

Have you disabled wifi on all the Q boxes (and checked it's still disabled)?

 

Also, how could Sky blame your wifi if your boxes are hardwired?

Yes all disabled

 

re sky and my WiFi I thought the exact same 😂

 

issue is the lads on tech support don't seem to/ or can't go off script from a check list of basic questions 

 

is what it is
