Mini box in media wall

I have just installed a mini box behind the telly in a media wall for our kitchen. The remote won't connect to the mini box unless I pull the mini box out so the remote can see it. Does that mean the mini box isn't Bluetooth and if so anything I can do to make the mini box work from behind the telly

hi @nickgarnett

All SKY Q boxes including minis are bluetooth remote capable.

If you have one of the original minis (5+ years or so) then it is possible that the remote is not bluetoth capable.

Any remote with a voice button is bluetooth capable.

If it is a voice capable remote then as @MightyQuinn  says you need to pair it,

If you need to pair then :

May I suggest you first  reset your remote:
Press & Hold the 7 & 9 until the remote's light (red LED above the SKY logo button) flashes 4 times

Then press 1 & 3 together to go through to re-pair with the box and your TV - make sure it has line of sight of the box as until it is paired it uses Infrared

Hi @nickgarnett   You need to pair the voice remote to the Mini box using line of sight before moving behind the TV. It will then work using Bluetooth

@nickgarnett I am assuming you have a bluetooth remote with a voice button on it, if there is no voice button eithe a blue button on the front of the remote of a button on the side then the remote will not be bluetooth and you would need to purchase a bluetooth remorte

If the remote is bluetooth as @MightyQuinn says you need to move the mini box so you have line of sight then reset your remote.
Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.

Once reset you should be able to move the mini box back to where you want it
