Mini box hell

Please help

my Sky Q box works 80% of the time until I watch a recording and it often cuts out, freezes or loses sound.

but my Sky Mini Box works 30% of the time and it's driving me mad. This occurs with both live TV and recorded.... it freezes, loses sound or goes to the dreaded Blue screen saying it's lost connection to the main box.

We have Sky BB and a booster directly below the Sky Mini Box.....

I have called and it's painful. I got told that I needed to upgrade the software. I did and it still happens. Then I got told to switch on and off (both boxes) and reboot but again it's the same.
I think it's the WiFi but I'm on Ultrafast 35 which is the quickest I can get with Sky.

im at a loss and am ready to give up and cancel Sky as I'm not getting the expensive service I pay for.

Anysuggestions would be great. In the time it's taken me to write this post, the Blue screen of doom has initiated 3 times. It's ridiculous because I'm a fast typer....

Please help

The Q should work pretty much 100% of the time. I would get that replaced

is the mini connected to the booster's WPS or was it originally connected to the Q?

How far is the booster from the Q?, Is it ethernet connected to anything or just supposed to be acting like a wifi relay?

hi @Winnie13568

When you say the boosetr is directly below the mini do you mean in a droom downstairs or just underneath ?

A booster should ideally be approx half way between the boxes - being next to one brings no benefit.

For clarity, that's Superfast 35.  Broadband speed arriving at an address isn't related to Mini box live television viewing, but the wireless connection back to the main box (which is different to more general WiFi) absolutely is.
