Mini Box Error
Hi.
I've recently moved house and upgraded so I've got a Sky Q box int he living room and two Miniboxes in the bedrooms. I was told when I upgraded that I would be able to use 2 x Miniboxes at the same time. When I tried, I was getting an error message as follows:
"“The maximum number of Sky Q Mini boxes are already in use. Put another Sky Q Mini box into standby, then return to this box and press the red button or help, press ?”
I checked the website and found the following information:
"You can watch Sky content on two minis and the main box at the same time. You may be able to use a 3rd mini box at the same time if you're using it for one of the apps such as Netflix. The original 1TB (non-UHD) Sky Q box only allows one mini to be in use. All 2TBs and the UHD/HDR 1TB permit two mini boxes.”
I contacted Sky, who stated I needed a new box and arranged a swap. It arrived the next day, but they have sent me another 1Tb, and we are getting the exact same message.
Has anyone had this issue and how was it resolved? I'm confused why Sky would sell me the miniboxes and tell me they could be used together but only supply me with a 1Tb box. Given that I subscribe to Sky multiscreen and paid for the miniboxes, should they not provide me with the right equipment i.e. a 2Tb Sky Q box?
Thanks in advance.
Ryan.
