@George112 welcome to this Community of customers. I'm afraid you're not directly contacting Sky here.

I'll move your post to the Sky Q forum, where other Community members will try to help.

We are customers here so we have no idea what Sky Q problems you have. Can you tell us, and also let us know what you've already tried?

you have sent us a reconditioned sky box

All replacement boxes are likely to be reconditioned. There will be very few, if any, new boxes any more.

@George112 Can you give us a little more detail of what's happening with the boxes.

Re: Major sky box problems

I too have woken up this morning to issues with my main Sky Q box and both of my Sky Q Mini boxes, all of which we're working perfectly last night before I went to bed.
I woke this morning and the upstairs Sky Q box was displaying No Satellite Signal. Switched it off at the wall, went through reboot and still same message. Went downstairs to kitchen Sky Q mini box and the same message displayed  - switched it off at the wall, same process, still not working.
I then went to main Sky Q box which was working but will not display Recordings  - just says Please Wait constantly.
Went through the suggested process, have tried both Sky Q Mini box Network connections, both are online and connected to Sky broadband.

Been onto the Sky website, went through all suggested steps and it has now said Order New Sky Q mini box?!
It is new. The issue is with the main Sky box.

Can anybody help? I've been on 2-3 forums this morning and there is a wave of issues across the country with Sky Q main boxes and them connecting with Sky Q Minis?

Increased reporting of issues with main Q boxes isn't exactly unusual after a named storm.

The national problem with Mini boxes was three weeks ago.

Re: Major sky box problems

Saw a post on another thread that Sky often update between 02.30 and 05.30.
Have done a hard drive reset and have lost all recordings but all 3 boxes are working fine.

Hope this helps others... delete your recordings!

Re: Major sky box problems

Thanks Timmy - as a family we were sat indoors during and 3 weeks after the storms you mentioned.
This happened in the last 12 hours but by deleting all recordings on the main Sky Q box and restarting it, it now works fine and BOTH Sky Q mini boxes now connect and work perfectly.

Software updates are very rare and the latest was released in September/October last year, so that won't have caused your problem. If a full reset has solved the problem it sounds like it was down to a corrupt hard drive.
