Leaving sky and they don’t seem interested

After over 30 years of sky the cost is too much.

I was happy with my last cost of £55 for tv sport Netflix sky and two mini boxes I paid £99 for( only rented tho)

price now over £90 and they don't seem interested in reducing this back to a reasonable amount. £60 seems fair to me.
no attempt to call customers anymore and the retention team just say leave if you want to leave.

it looks like my money is staying with me and freebies is on the cards.

The amount you suggest is possible but only if Sky agree.

Give notice to leave if you haven't already.  They may agree to a better figure if they believe you are going (and be prepared to if necessary)

Remember to return all your Q hardware if you can't agree.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount but if you contact them again and you’re offered something acceptable you need to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available.

Yes I understand it's my choice. Iv been on the end of countless contracts. First sky installation was 1988 or 99.

but sky always tried to keep irs customers with at least some sort of discount and decent customer service. Since covid both have disappeared.
last straw was the big rise in April followed by a39% increase in July if they wanted me to remain.

just come off phone and the best they offered was a £5 discount from their free view equivalent.

im not greedy and prepared to pay for a good service. But there is limits.. free view and Netflix costs me £100 a year.

You will still get the free channels on Sky such as BBC/ITV but you need to return the Sky Q box soon after cancelling, so make sure you have another way of watching TV.
