LG magic control to connect to Sky Q

We have an LG smart TV.  With the original magic remote we could easily control the Sky Q as well. We had to replace the original remote. I went through all of the steps are advised on the TV universal control settings, external device settings still it doesn't want to control the Sky Q. 

Any advice?
