I am thinking of changing my broadband to Jurassic Fibre as it is £15 cheaper than the equivalent sky version, but I have read somewhere that if you don't have sky as your broadband provider although the sky Q main box will work ok, if you have any mini boxes they won't work.
is this true?
TIA

@Spaceman05 no its not true
if you have a third party ISP then the mini boxes will only connect by wifi to the Sky Q main box they will not connect by wifi to your router where as with Sky the mini boxes will connect to either you main box router or another mini box
Also your main box will only connect to the new router on the 2.4 Ghz frequency so if you take out a new contract wit Jurassic Fibre the main box will conect by wifi on 2.4 Ghz the mini boxes will connect by way of a mesh that the main box emits on the 5Ghz frequency
you can of course connect the main box and the mini boxes to the new router by ethernet cable
