If the TV in your other room is a smart TV and has apps on it then you can connect it to your broadband and stream many of the free to air channels via those apps, completely free. BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4 and Five all allow you to live stream their channels via apps as well as stream all content on demand.
Alternatively, if your TV has a Freeview tuner built in to it, you would attach an aerial and scan for channels.
EDIT: As @nigea99 notes - you can also purchase a Freely streaming device such as a Netgem Pleio or Manhattan Aero and attach it to your TV as you would a Sky minibox. These devices need to be connected to your broadband and give you a full programme guide of all the free to air channels which you can watch live and will also link to on demand apps.

Yes. You can cancel multiscreen with 31 days notice, return the minibox and still watch Netflix on another TV. You just need to log in to the Netflix app on your smart TV or streaming device with the same username/email and password as you currently use on Sky.
You can also still use the Sky Go app on your iPad to stream live and on demand content from your subscription channels.

@jeanmasonethan If you cancel multiscreen, you will not, however, be able to watch recordings on SKY Go but as @Angel_Aka says you can still watch live

To watch Frieview you need a tresstrial arial which I am guessing you won't have
Alternatively, if you have a smart TV (or streaming device like roku Stick or Firestick) yo can watch the main channels in their individual apps (iplayer, ITVX etc) via the internet
Or nowadays you can get a 'Freely' box which also uses the internet & is more integrated & probably has a few more user firendly features but I admit I have not researched them (I am fairly confident @Angel_Aka can give you more detail)

Glad to help. Just make sure you get a Freely box, not a Freeview box. The two I mentioned are the best current ones available.
