I think my box may be faulty. It has this intermittent issue where, when I first switch it on, the screen will flash randomly for a random amount of time. Not always, but more often than not. It's not the HDMI cable as I just replaced it with another, better one.
I suppose it may be my TV but it doesn't happen with my BD player.
I was thinking of asking Sky to send a new one which I can then set up and test to see what happens. Then I would return one of the boxes; either the original if faulty or the replacement if not.
Would I lose the recordings on the original box if activated a new one and then went back to the old one? (Not a big problem; just curious.)
I guess I'm just worried they'll charge me for something if it turns out that the original box wasn't faulty; or they can't locate the fault.
Comments or advice appreciated as this is my first experience of an issue with the box.
Thanks.

Hi @CarlW2020
Have you tried using a different HDMI Port on your TV, it could be a dodgy HDMI port in the TV itself.
If this issue still persists it could be a faulty HDMI port on the Sky Q box itself

Unfortunately you won't be able to try both boxes as it's a doorstep swap...

Might be worth a Box swap in anycase if the above solution of switching HDMI port on the TV doesn't work.

Yes I think I did try another HDMI cable before, but I will try again before I go for the box swap
Thanks guys.
