I see a software update signal which does not update

I see a software update message giving an option to update now or later .

However it does not respond when I try to select an option 

this happens every time I turn the TV on

Typically that's being generated by a smart television operating system, not Sky Q, and needs to be actioned using the television remote handset rather than a Sky remote even if the latter is paired for volume control.
