I need my sky dish moved

My sky dish is attached to a chimney on my roof which needs to be taken down. I need my sky dish moving about 10 feet or so to an adjacent chimney

Sky will no longer affix a dish to a chimney. They will place a dish on another suitable spot if there is one. Typical cost is about £65. Be aware if you employ a local installation company to move it to a chimney Sky will no doubt refuse to carry out any dish repairs in the future.

Re: I need my sky dish moved

Thanks, that's interesting. I've just got off the phone to them and the guy has booked an engineer. He was unsure if my situation would be chargeable so trying this route first. I don't mind £65 to be honest but didn't know they don't attach to chimneys.

Thanks again

The fact that it's on the chimney already suggests that at the time it was installed there was nowhere else to put it. If that's still the case, then you may have problems getting it moved at all.

The engineer will able to tell you on his/her arrival in line with their fairly strict health and safety rules.

@Pmcf Very unlikely that the engineer will touch the dish currently on a chimney.
