Hi @Kieran208891

First check that your viewing card is correctly inserted.   Viewing card is in the right hand end of the box.
If it is in correctly there is not enough of it sticking out to grip and remove it.

Push it fully in and it will pop out slightly enough so you can remove it.

Make sure that it is in chip side up and chip end in first.   Push it gently fully in and you should feel a slight click when it is engaged.   If it has popped out enough to remove it is not located correctly.

If you are satisfied that it is in correctly

Try refreshing your Viewing card.
Home - Settings - System info.
Highlight Viewing card number and then select Setup on the right hand side.
Then select Use this option to trigger a callback

No call is actually made but the Viewing card should be refreshed.

If there hasn't been Q at the address before , then yes: a satellite dish needs installing or modifying.

Did you have Q before or HD? They don't normally send an installer if it's Q -> Q

It is sky Q - thank you

Do I need to have the old box ready to send back with the delivery driver or can I do that in my own time?

You do. And make sure the viewing card isn't in it

Hi @Kieran208891   Is it simply a box swap, or an engineer visit? If it is simply a box swap then you must hand over your old box before the driver will leave the replacement (important, keep your viewing card). If the old box is not ready, the driver will leave and take your new box with him.

It will be a swap but What if me and my partner work all day and won't be home when the delivery driver turns up?

How is this possible?

Hi @Kieran208891   It sound's like you need a house sitter for the day, or perhaps give Sky a call and see how they can help.

Someone needs to be there. Bribe a neighbour with a bottle of gin.

@Kieran208891

Not sure if it's the same as when DPD deliver a new mobile phone, but if it is you should get an email from DPD which will have details of your 1 hour delivery time slot which would mean not having to be in all day. Perhaps someone who's completed a recent doorstep box swap can confirm…or not.
