When I try to watch a recording the screen is just blue. When I try to download any content it states I have a technical issue

@Craigman_79 Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

I have tried turning it off at the wall although I did not put it into standby mode first. I will try this. Thanks
