How to update Mini Box with Netflix account details

When I upgraded to Sky-Q with Multiscreen, I used my daughters Netflix details for both boxes. 


Later when I later added Netflix to my Sky bundle, I was able to update my Main Box quite easily with my own account. 


Up until now I have never needed to use Netflix on the mini-box. I'm aware that Netflix has put a new restriction on sharing accounts, so when I try to use Netflix on the mini-box it still shows my daughters old account details, preventing access. 


How can I change the account user on the mini-box?

Unfortunately @Doc5907 I didn't see the Notifications link you suggested. 

 

But the suggestion from @lettice worked for me. 

 

Luckily I was able to login using my daughters account and delete my Sky device. 

 

After waiting 10min, I opened Netflix on the mini-box, where it asked me to login again. Fortunately, it picked up my details automatically. 

 

Sorted.... 😉

On your mini box...

 

  • Open Netflix
  • Press left direction button on remote
  • Scroll down to Notifications then right across to Get Help and enter (centre button with dot)
  • Scroll down to Sign out and press enter

 

Now sign in with your own account details

Easiest way is if you can login to your daughters netflix account online, you can go to the manage devices section under her netflix account and you can force log out the sky mini form her account.
It can take a short while to do it on the box, say a few hours sometimes, but next time you load Netflix on your Sky mini, it will allow you to sign in without issue.

As Netflix is part of my bundle, I'm assuming that it's my Sky account details that I have to use?

 

It was some time ago that I added Netflix and can't remember the exact details I used to update my Main Box.

@qwert0 it will be whatever email address you used and what password you set for your netflix account

Not your Sky account login details no. You should have your own separate Netflix login details
