How do you get Sky Q remote to control LG soundbar

Hi
How do you get Sky Q remote to control an LG soundbar. The soundbar is connected to the TV via optical. Need to know the codes to reset remote and set up for the TV and soundbar

Hi yes I know optical can't do this that is why I have asked for the codes. When you initially set up the remote it asks you for tv model and then soundbar model so you can control them direct from the remote. I want to get back to the initial setup and start again.

Hi @PDWQ

Best to completely reset your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

After pairing to TV you have the option to pair to a Soundbar/Amp for Volume and mute (that's instead of TV volume).

On/Off and input select is always reserved for paired TV.

Codes are not used for Q Bluetooth remote.  (Only brand and model for TV and/or Amp/Soundbar)

The remote is primarily to control the TV.  The best way is to connect the soundbar to the TV via HDMI and let CEC control the volume via the TV.  (Optical cannot do this)

There may be a code that controls the LG soundbar - see if your device is listed, or try the various LG codes to see if one works.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

I have Sky Q and struggled to learn to my YSP 2200 yahama soundbar.

in the end it is: press buttons 1 & 3 and the red remote LED flashed twice then enter: ? 3 3 5 5

it should flash twice and it worked for me.
