How do I turn off the Watch from Start pop-up

I find the WATCH FROM START pop-up every time I change channels really annoying, is there a way to turn it off?

Sorry @gibson+stuart 

There is no option to switch it off - despite many requests here to make it an option

I am sure you are aware that the dismiss button does remove it when you get it, if you don't want to wait

It is very annoying. Especially when switching between BBC 1 and 2 when 2 World Cup games are on at the same time

it even pops up 1 minute into a program starting??! Why would I want to watch it from the start when it's literally just started!!!

please for the love of god give us an option to switch it off

It should disappear automatically after 5 seconds, is that not happening?

Afraid it's very unlikely to be offered. You do know that a simple press of the back button (left facing arrow in a 3/4 square) removes it?

I know I can press the back button to get rid of it but it seems to pop up a good few seconds after changing channel and takes up almost half of the screen

its just really annoying and pointless

Half the screen? Maybe 20% at most. It is a bit annoying, was thinking the same yesterday, but there's no point moaning about it, it's not going to change.

@dantwilliams be thankful when it was first introduced years ago it used to stay up twice as long on screen unless you dismissed it
